Essential Responsibilities & Activities:

As an AI Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work on cutting-edge artificial intelligence projects, contribute to real-world applications, and gain valuable experience in a collaborative and innovative environment. The ideal candidate is a college student pursuing a degree in engineering or computer science, with a passion for AI and excellent communication skills.

The responsibilities for the position are as follows:

• Assist in the development and testing of AI models and algorithms.

• Support in development of AI engineering solutions and Tools.
• Support data collection, preprocessing, and analysis for machine learning projects.
• Assist in Model Based Systems Engineering, Coding and Model-Based Tool development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems using CI/CD-frameworks among other
• Document findings, processes, and results clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and research in AI and machine learning.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information technology or an equivalent engineering study / a related field.
• Must be able to manage school and internship schedules.
• Strong interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data-driven technologies.
• Experience in working with AI/engineering AI applications and related AI Frameworks like Googles A2A is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Location & Duration 

• IAV North America IAV Automotive Engineering, Inc. located in Novi, MI
• Part-time work schedule of 20 hours per week, depending on project workload and academic requirements; 1 year term-commitment.
