Salary Range: $48,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Train, mentor, and supervise shipping and receiving personnel, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, negotiating rates and optimizing routes.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage and discrepancies, verifying against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Prepare and process outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent tracking of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols within the shipping and receiving department.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise in the shipping and receiving process.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a shipping and receiving environment, preferably within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Experience leading and motivating a team to ensure efficient operations.
• Proficiency in using shipping software, carrier portals, and basic computer applications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
• - Forklift certification.
• - Proficiency in a specific ERP/WMS system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, HighJump).
• - Basic understanding of import/export documentation and regulations.
• - Familiarity with inventory cycle counting procedures.
