Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an HVAC Service Technician, where you will primarily focus on providing HVAC service work for residential customers in and around Oakland County. Occasionally, you will handle light commercial service work on systems up to 25 tons. You will receive your own service van and iPad, allowing you to efficiently manage your schedule and service calls. Typically, you will attend 4-5 service calls per day, diagnosing and fixing AC units, furnaces, ducts, or thermostats. Your role will include discussing issues with customers, presenting solutions, educating them on repairs, and handling payments upon completion of services. You'll work both inside and outside customer homes, adhering to all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC service work primarily for residential customers.
• Handle light commercial service work on systems up to 25 tons.
• Diagnose and repair AC units, furnaces, ducts, and thermostats.
• Engage with customers to discuss issues, present solutions, and educate them on repairs.
• Manage payments upon completion of services.
• Operate safely both inside and outside of customer properties.
• Utilize a service van and iPad for daily operations.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of residential HVAC service experience.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing faults with AC units and furnaces.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver heavier items with assistance.
• Comfortable working from heights and in small crawl spaces.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• EPA Certification.
• Strong customer service skills for effective communication and customer engagement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with residential HVAC systems and equipment.
• Familiarity with commercial HVAC and new construction work.
• Knowledge of heating, cooling, and electrical systems.
• Installation experience with rooftop units (RTUs) and mini splits.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
