Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical unit position in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience and an active Michigan RN license.

Details

• 37-bed Medical, Surgical, and Oncology unit (C5) within a hospital setting
• Cares for a wide variety of patients including general medical, GI, urological, gynecological, orthopedic/neurovascular, and cardio/pulmonary
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30), with 36 or 48-hour week options available
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5–6 on nights; ratios may flex to 1:7–8 with LPN support paired
• Floating to other Med/Surg units is required, typically once per week depending on unit need
• Every other weekend required
• Works alongside a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and Techs

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required (pending license accepted with ETA provided)
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required; pending accepted with confirmed willingness to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required; 2 years preferred

Additional Information

• Full availability required for the first two weeks of orientation
• Holiday coverage is required; any time-off requests during holidays must remain flexible to accommodate staffing needs
• Block scheduling is not available at this time
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• Assignment length of 13 weeks with the possibility of extension up to 26 weeks
