Salary Range: $47,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders) according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and technical drawings to determine machining operations.
• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Adjust machine controls and offsets to ensure part accuracy and optimize production.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshoot minor operational issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
• Basic understanding of G-code and M-code for program editing and troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot common machining issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with advanced CAD/CAM software for complex programming
• Experience operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for quality inspection
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with 5-axis machining or other advanced multi-axis setups
