Accounting & Finance Manager

Position Summary

GrowthSpoke is seeking a Accounting & Finance Manager to lead all finance and accounting functions for our growing third-party logistics (3PL) business. This role is the sole finance professional in the company and is responsible for the full accounting cycle, financial reporting, payroll, cash management, and financial oversight of the Company.

The ideal candidate is both hands-on and strategic, capable of executing day-to-day bookkeeping while also providing leadership with financial insights, forecasting, and operational analysis to support company growth.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain accurate financial records and oversee the full accounting cycle
• Process payments, invoices, bills, and receipts and record transactions in accounting software
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Ensure proper coding and documentation of all financial transactions
• Maintain accounting records and digital document management

Financial Reporting & Close

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Lead the monthly close process
• Analyze financial results and identify variances from budgets and forecasts
• Provide leadership with clear financial reporting and insights

• Oversee financial controls and accounting processes
• Develop and maintain company budgets and financial forecasts
• Monitor cash flow and working capital
• Manage AR/AP processes and collections
• Support leadership with financial modeling and decision support
• Ensure financial processes scale with business growth

Payroll & HR Finance Support

• Run biweekly payroll for employees
• Manage payroll compliance and reporting
• Coordinate with HR systems (BambooHR)
• Track PTO, benefits expenses, and payroll-related liabilities

Compliance & Tax Support

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements

Customer & Operational Support

• Assist with customer billing and financial inquiries
• Monitor and respond to relevant customer financial communications
• Support operational teams with financial data and reporting

Technical Skills

• QuickBooks Online proficiency
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Payroll systems experience preferred
• Familiarity with HRIS systems (BambooHR) preferred

Preferred Experience

• Experience in logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or packaging environments preferred
• Experience managing accounting for small to mid-size companies ($3M$15M revenue)
• Experience building financial processes in growing companies

Education & Experience

• 3+ years accounting experience required
• Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Physical Requirements

• Long periods of sitting and working at a computer
