Key Responsibilities

• Perform machine setups and changeovers according to production schedules and specifications.
• Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling, fixtures, and equipment for optimal performance.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and verifications to ensure product quality standards are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues, machine malfunctions, and process deviations.
• Optimize machine parameters and processes during setup to maximize efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Document setup procedures, machine settings, and maintenance activities accurately.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and equipment reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Demonstrated ability to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on production machinery.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing safety protocols and quality control standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming or HMI interfaces
• Basic CAD/CAM software proficiency
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification
• Welding or basic fabrication skills
