Locum - Physician - Hospitalist - OB Clinton Twp MI

Henry Ford Macomb is looking for a Locum In House OB Hospitalist for coverage from Oct 2025 through March 2026!

Practice Setting: In House Hospital/Call - with designated call room.

Reason for Coverage: Hospitalist need covering Labor and Delivery and ER room

Dates of Coverage: Starting in August to March 2026

Schedule: 12 or 24 hour shifts

Call Schedule: Monday to Friday
Are shifts in house or off site call? In house- there is a designated call room

Total Number of Beds: 18

Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day:3-4 laboring patients per day

Number of Physicians in Practice: 6

Will Other OB/GYNs Provide Coverage During Locums Coverage Dates (List Names): No- we have our residents but one generalist on site and one generalist as back up

How Many APPs Provide Coverage: NA - we have CNM cover Monday afternoon when residents are in education classes

Number of Exam Rooms: 18 laboring beds

Onsite Lab? Yes

Onsite Ultrasound? Yes

Describe Office Equipment: Labor and Delivery unit with an OR

Describe Support Staff: RN and residents

What Percentage of Patients are C-Section: 30%

Nursery Level: II

Documentation System/EMR: Epic

Board Requirements: Yes

Will you Accept Providers Needing to Obtain State License? Yes

Certification Requirement: BLS

Required Obstetrics Procedures:
Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. History of Twins, Toxemia, Pyelonephritis, etc.)
High Risk Pregnancy (i.e. with Toxemia, Diabetes, Class II or Higher Cardiacs, Chronic Lung Problems, Chronic Renal Disease, etc.)
FHR Interpretation NST/CST/FSE
OB ultrasounds Performance of Interpretation
OB ultrasounds Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability)
OB ultrasounds Performance of Level II/Targeted (Anatomic)
Amniocentesis

Labor and Delivery Required Procedures:
Routine Delivery Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section
Complicated Delivery C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc.
VBAC s
Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations

Gynecology Required Procedures:
Office/Minor Gynecology IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
Surgical Gynecology Open
Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Only-Tubal Ligation, LOA s, Chromal Tubation
Operative/Major (Includes Diagnostic) Ectopic Pregnancy, Ovary Removal, Cystectomy, Extensive LOA s

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days-120 days - TEMPS WILL BE REQUESTED FOR THIS NEED DUE TO THE URGENCY

Requirement description : Board Certified/Eligible - REQUIRED
MI State License - Highly Preferred
ACLS & BLS through AHA - REQUIRED
Local Candidates- highly preferred
Clean Background- Required for a quick start

The provider needs to be motivated to move quickly! Providers who are already internally credentialed will be prioritized!

Perm Placement/Conversion Fees:

• MD/DO: $22k

Locum to Perm Reduction in Conversion Fees:

• MD/DO:
• 160-319 hours = $2500 reduction
• 320-639 hours = $5000 reduction
• 640+hours = $7000 reduction
• Regardless of number of hours a MD/DO has worked, reduction will not exceed $7500
