The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Bench Hand to join our team on Nights. The Bench Hand will work within a team environment and be responsible for the operation of miscellaneous processes supporting production of various parts.

Essential job functions include but not limited to:

• Uses hand tools, standard measuring equipment, and gauges, to assemble parts in accordance with the planning instructions provided.
• Operates basic machining, grinding and polishing equipment.
• Uses precise cleaning processes and methods to clean, deburr, and polish parts.
• Visually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfaces.
• Performs packaging operations for assemblies and other parts.
• Maintains proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.
• Cleans, organizes and maintains cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards.
• Strives to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput.
• Performs routine TPM`s of machines and equipment operated.
• Adheres to all safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required
• 1-2 years of experience with the following:
• • Bench assembly, turning, grinding, roller matched set sorting, and/or tape polishing.

• Experience with riveting and work and automation is a plus.

• Ability to read, understand, and correctly interpret basic blueprint drawings
• Able to work nights M-F from 9:30 PM - 6 AM (training on 1st shift)

• Must have the ability to obtain internal certifications for the following:
  • Vacuum, Nitriding, Carburizing Furnaces and balancing

• Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).
• U.S. Citizenship status required. Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
