Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) is needed to support an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) program in a school setting located in Westland, MI. This contract role offers the opportunity to work directly with students, providing specialized therapeutic interventions designed to enhance their educational experience and promote skill development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to students with autism spectrum disorder within a school environment
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop individualized treatment plans that support academic and functional goals
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches including hands-on interventions and adaptive technology to improve sensory processing, fine motor skills, and daily living activities
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in team meetings to discuss outcomes and adjust therapies as needed
• Provide teletherapy services as part of the treatment plan when appropriate

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience working in school-based settings
• Prior experience supporting students with ASD, including assessment and intervention for sensory and motor challenges
• Ability to deliver occupational therapy in multiple settings, including home health, teletherapy, and healthcare environments
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of students in a contract full-time position
