Salary Range: $52,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment.
• Load and unload workpieces and electrodes with precision.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust parameters to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using various measurement tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of EDM machines and work areas.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues or machine malfunctions.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct experience operating Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to perform machine setups, load programs, adjust parameters (e.g., power, pulse duration, gap), and troubleshoot EDM processes.
• Experience with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators for in-process and final inspection.
• Strong understanding of various materials (e.g., tool steels, carbides, exotic alloys) and their EDM characteristics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for electrode design or advanced programming
• Experience operating CMM or other advanced metrology equipment
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills for EDM equipment
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen)
