Salary Range: $61,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models to determine project scope.
• Calculate material, labor, overhead, and sub-contractor costs for manufacturing projects.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and competitive quotations for customers.
• Source and obtain pricing for raw materials, components, and outsourced services from suppliers.
• Analyze manufacturing processes and production methods to optimize cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure estimate accuracy and feasibility.
• Maintain and update cost databases, historical data, and pricing models.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience (3-5+ years) in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, material costs, labor rates, and overhead calculations.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and costing.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for data extraction and analysis.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification.
• Hands-on experience or strong understanding of specific manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding, welding).
• Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL) or programming for complex modeling.
