The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs), specifications, and blueprints to understand project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation.
• Prepare detailed and competitive price quotes for manufactured products, components, or services.
• Utilize ERP/CRM systems and internal costing models to generate pricing, lead times, and terms.
• Communicate quote status, clarifications, and follow-up with customers to secure orders.
• Maintain and update quoting databases, pricing matrices, and customer records.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction or value engineering in proposed solutions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in quoting, estimating, or sales support within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude for cost analysis, pricing models, and margin calculation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP/CRM systems for quote generation and tracking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and customers.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) software.
• Basic CAD software viewing capabilities (e.g., SolidWorks Viewer, AutoCAD LT).
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with supplier relationship management or basic procurement processes.
