Job Description :
We Are Seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support complex technology initiatives by gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing business requirements throughout the project lifecycle. This role serves as the critical liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business needs are clearly defined, translated into actionable requirements, and aligned with project objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and process improvement skills, with experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments to deliver successful technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
· Gather, analyze, and document business requirements that are clear, complete, testable, and aligned with business objectives.
· Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and project meetings to identify business needs and impacted processes.
· Develop and maintain project artifacts including business requirements, functional requirements, epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
· Document and analyze current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) business processes, workflows, and system interactions.
· Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and project teams to prioritize requirements and maintain project backlogs in Agile environments.
· Monitor project scope and requirements throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment with business goals and project objectives.
· Support information governance initiatives by identifying data requirements and ensuring appropriate stakeholder involvement.
· Assist with the evaluation and analysis of Build vs. Buy decisions by gathering business requirements, documenting needs, and assessing solution impacts.
· Analyze proposed changes to requirements and scope to determine impacts on project benefits, timelines, and deliverables.
· Work closely with UI/UX designers, solution architects, developers, database administrators, QA testers, technical writers, and project managers to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and expected outcomes.
· Participate in Agile and Waterfall project activities, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and project status meetings.
· Assist in the resolution of critical project and technology issues by providing business analysis expertise and stakeholder coordination.
· Ensure project deliverables and business analysis documentation are completed, reviewed, and approved in accordance with established project methodologies and standards.
· Translate business requirements into actionable tasks, deliverables, and expectations for development and testing teams.
· Support project communication efforts by providing clear documentation and facilitating collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise technology projects.
· 5+ years of experience working in both Agile and Waterfall project environments.
· 5+ years of experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements, including Epics, Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
· 5+ years of experience documenting and analyzing current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) business processes and workflows.
· Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, requirements management, and process improvement techniques.
· Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings, workshops, interviews, and requirements discovery sessions.
· Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable technical requirements.
· Experience managing and maintaining Agile project backlogs and supporting product owners with prioritization activities.
· Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and project delivery frameworks.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
· Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, UI/UX designers, QA testers, and business stakeholders.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
· Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration across project teams.
· Experience supporting enterprise application development, business process improvement, and technology transformation initiatives.
· Previous government or public-sector experience is preferred.
· Experience working on multiple concurrent development projects and managing competing stakeholder priorities is highly desirable.
