Currently seeking a Fuel Systems Development Engineer for an opportunity that resides in the Columbia, SC area .
Position is located in Columbia, SC. Company will support relocation efforts !
Headquartered in the United States, the company has design, development, and precision manufacturing facilities in the United States as well as a global footprint of engineering and manufacturing in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East , servicing the global automotive market
The Fuel Systems Development Engineer provides Engineering support for the re-engineering of fuel injectors and pumps for diesel engines.
Fuel System Development Engineer S pecific Responsibilities:
Create BOM for both new products being evaluated and approved programs
Inspect sample of core for new products being evaluated to determine reusability and rework options for business case
Create 3D CAD models of all components during the re-engineering process
Create 2D drawings for all components during the re-engineering process
Evaluate core and develop inspection documents for sorting out core for use in the remanufacturing of High-Pressure Fuel Pumps and/or Diesel Fuel Injectors
Develop specifications where needed for the assembly and test of product
Develop and track the DVP&R as part of the validation of remanufactured product
Work with manufacturing engineering to develop rework methods and processes to maximize reuse of core components.
Fuel System Development Engineer Requirements:
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering degree.
- 3+ years of design, development in the remanufacturing of a product.
- Solid working experience with CAD software . Currently using CREO 3.0.
- Knowledge of DVP&R, DFMEA, and PFMEA processes and skilled at tolerance analysis.
- Must have good working knowledge of GD&T and have excellent communication skills.
