Brake Press Programmer – Precision Metal Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly skilled Brake Press Programmer to join our advanced manufacturing team specializing in precision metal forming , tool and die , and prototype fabrication . This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of CNC brake press operations for forming high-tolerance metal components used in industries such as automotive , medical , and aerospace .

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC brake press machines to form complex metal components according to engineering drawings and blueprints

• Utilize CAD/CAM software to create accurate and efficient bend sequences and tooling setups

• Read and interpret technical drawings , work orders , and specifications to determine appropriate programming strategies

• Select proper tooling and dies for each job based on material type, thickness, and required tolerances

• Inspect parts using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to ensure conformity to specifications

• Perform first-piece inspection , make necessary adjustments, and ensure continuous quality control

• Collaborate with engineering , quality assurance , and production teams to troubleshoot and optimize forming processes

• Maintain accurate documentation of setups, programs, and production output

• Adhere to lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Brake Press Operator or Brake Press Programmer in a metal fabrication or precision manufacturing environment

• Proficient in CNC brake press programming , ideally with experience on Amada, Trumpf, or similar machinery

• Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication , bend allowances , and flat pattern development

• Strong skills in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and GD&T

• Experience with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar systems

• Familiarity with quality inspection tools and tight-tolerance production

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a focus on safety , efficiency , and accuracy

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in manufacturing technology or CNC programming is a plus

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of tool and die processes

• Exposure to prototype development and short-run manufacturing

• Background in automotive or medical device manufacturing
