Demand Planner | Mattawan, MI

Salary Range: $64,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for assigned product categories.
• Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to refine forecasts.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Production teams to gather market intelligence and align on demand plans.
• Participate in the S&OP process, presenting demand forecasts and highlighting key assumptions and risks.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, identifying root causes for significant variances and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage demand planning for new product introductions and product discontinuations.
• Utilize and optimize demand planning software and statistical modeling tools.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a similar supply chain role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and statistical modeling skills, with proficiency in data interpretation and trend analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
• Solid understanding of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and inventory management principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional engagement and stakeholder alignment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with advanced statistical software (e.g., R, Python) or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Certification or experience in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis
• Experience with advanced modules of specific Demand Planning software (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis, JDA/Blue Yonder)
