Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost and quality.
• Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production to ensure timely material availability.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or delivery.
• Ensure all purchased materials comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in negotiation, vendor management, contract administration, and cost reduction strategies.
• Strong proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain software.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality systems.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean or Six Sigma certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with international sourcing and global supply chain logistics
• Proficiency in a second language relevant to key supplier regions (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish, German)
