Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
• Oversee all aspects of material planning, procurement, and scheduling to support production requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance for timely and cost-effective material delivery.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems for accurate material forecasting, planning, and tracking.
• Lead and develop the materials team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality departments to ensure material availability and quality standards are met.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to material acquisition, storage, and handling.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex) for inventory management and production planning.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and developing a materials or supply chain team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on inventory optimization and cost reduction.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Proficiency in advanced data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with global supply chain management.
