Health and Physical Education Teacher
Summary of Duties
DeWitt Middle School is seeking a highly qualified Health and Physical Education teacher.
Reports to
Building Principal
Requirements/Qualifications
- A valid MI Teaching Certificate with the following endorsements:
o MB and MA endorsement or MX endorsement designated for 7th and 8th grade Health and Physical Education
- The ability and enthusiasm to effectively engage students and help them own their learning
- Commitment to the success of ALL students and the ability to differentiate lessons for students
- Excellent teaching, organizational, planning, written and oral communication, creative and
- collaborative skills
- Dedication to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for students
- Expertise in utilizing technology in a transformative manner to support instruction
Compensation
Compensation will be paid in accordance with the DEA Master Agreement. Up to three years of verified public school teaching experience shall be credited for placement on the salary schedule.
