Job Title: General Production WorkerJob Description

As a General Production Worker, you will be an integral part of the production line, contributing to the ramp-up of new projects. Your primary tasks will include assembling materials, operating machinery, and conducting quality inspections. You'll ensure that parts are assembled correctly, inspected for defects, and packaged for shipment. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble materials and operate machines on the production line.
• Inspect parts for quality assurance before packaging.
• Box and prepare items for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively within a 6-person team to oversee operations.

Essential Skills

• 6 months of recent experience in manufacturing roles such as production worker, operator, assembler, or warehouse position.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, such as the car hood made of plastic and foam.
• Visual inspection experience to identify defects like scratches, paint marks, or dents.
• Demonstrated job stability with 8 months or longer tenure at past three jobs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical skills are a plus.
• Experience with machine operation is beneficial.

Work Environment

The work environment is undergoing improvements to become cleaner as the facility is newly acquired and being renovated. The position operates during the 3rd shift from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with potential for 6 to 7 days of work. The dress code requires work pants, a work shirt, closed-toed shoes, safety glasses, and face protection.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TROY, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.85 - $16.85/hr.
