Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely multi-state payroll for a large hourly and salaried workforce, including complex overtime and shift differentials.
• Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, FLSA, and other labor regulations.
• Maintain precise payroll records and employee data, integrating information from timekeeping systems.
• Calculate and process all payroll deductions, garnishments, and benefits contributions.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and general ledger entries, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Generate and distribute various payroll reports for internal analysis, accounting, and compliance purposes.
• Respond to and resolve employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax information.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of full-cycle payroll processing experience.
• Proven experience processing payroll in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including complex timekeeping, shift differentials, and overtime calculations.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, FLSA, and other compliance regulations.
• Proficiency with enterprise-level payroll software (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to handle confidential information.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with union payroll processing.
• Proficiency with timekeeping systems common in manufacturing environments (e.g., Kronos, ADP eTime).
• Understanding of payroll's impact on general ledger and cost accounting principles in manufacturing.
• Experience calculating and processing shift differentials and production incentives.
