Now Hiring: Barista

Location: Charlevoix, Michigan

Position Type: Part-time / Full-time (seasonal or year-round)

Friske’s is more than a farm market — we’re a destination. Nestled in the beauty of northern Michigan, we bring together agriculture, hospitality, and elevated food experiences. Our brand new full service coffee bar is an extension of that vision: thoughtfully crafted beverages, locally inspired offerings, and warm, genuine service.

We’re looking for a barista who appreciates quality, thrives in a guest-focused environment, and enjoys being part of a team that values craftsmanship and community.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, coffee, tea, and seasonal beverages with consistency and care
• Engage guests with genuine hospitality, creating a welcoming and memorable experience
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing café space
• Learn and share knowledge about our farm products, local ingredients, and market offerings
• Support daily operations including: using the point of sale to ensure an efficient and accurate check-out experience for all guests, opening/closing tasks, restocking, and food prep
• Work collaboratively with market and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless guest experience

What We’re Looking For

• Previous barista or café experience preferred, but not required—we’re happy to train the right person
• Passion for coffee, food, and hospitality
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
• Interest in local agriculture, seasonal products, and agritourism is a plus
• Availability to work weekends and peak seasonal periods
