Job Title: 2nd Shift Forging Press Operator (6 - Month Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Chesterfield, MI
Shift: 2PM–11PM (may extend to 3PM–1AM during busy periods)

About the Role:
We are seeking experienced forging press operators to join our 2nd shift team in Chesterfield. These are contract-to-hire opportunities with the potential for long-term placement and growth within a stable manufacturing environment. Candidates will be responsible for operating and maintaining forging presses and supporting related production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor forging presses and related equipment

• Inspect forged parts for quality, dimensions, and surface finish

• Perform or assist with machine setups, adjustments, and die changes

• Handle materials safely and follow all plant safety procedures

• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation

• Support sawing operations or other departments as needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating forging presses required

• Familiarity with part inspection and quality checks

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

• Dependable, safety-minded, and willing to work in a hot manufacturing environment

• Team-oriented with good attention to detail

Schedule:
2nd Shift: 2PM–11PM (may adjust to 3PM–1AM during peak production)
