Job Summary – Forklift Operator
We are currently hiring Forklift Operators to support plant operations. Operators will be responsible for safely using standard propane-powered forklifts to:

• Unload materials and supplies essential to plant operations
• Move palletized, bagged materials from the conveyor line to the storage yard
• Load both flatbed and box trucks for shipping using portable loading ramps or by operating from ground level

Location: 18 1/2 Mile Road

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
• 2nd Shift: 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
• 3rd Shift: 9:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
• Additional Shift: 6:00 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts safely and responsibly in accordance with all company safety policies and procedures
• Perform daily equipment inspections and conduct minor maintenance as needed
• Move palletized materials throughout the storage facility efficiently and accurately
• Install and replenish consumables such as bagging film rolls, stretch wrap, top sheets, bottom sheets, labels, and pallets
• Follow shipping instructions and load trucks with the correct materials to fulfill customer orders
• Stack and move pallets to the designated storage areas
• Lift and place boards between pallet layers when stacking
• Align and secure pallet stacks vertically and safely
• Handle pallets and materials carefully to avoid damaging bagged products
• Inspect bagged products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures and best practices
• Replace propane tanks or refuel diesel forklifts as needed
• Maintain accurate records of production and material handling activities
• Communicate promptly with the Supervisor regarding any concerns related to safety, quality, productivity, or the work

Requirements

Requirements:
• Two forms of ID
• Must pass a  urine drug test
•  National background check
