The Region Vice President will develop and drive the short and long-term strategies to achieve the business performance within the Construction Equipment Division. This position provides strategic leadership to grow, develop and drive implementation of efficient and consistent processes across the business in all locations. The Region Vice President will identify, coordinate and actively participate in process improvement initiatives with consistent application across all locations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Clearly articulate a strategy that will elevate business performance and drive growth in the business.
- Communicate and work effectively cross-functionally and across business groups.
- Drive performance by reviewing and understanding financial performance metrics as well as leading AOS objectives to drive accountability through the business.
- Formulate programs and initiatives which guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.
- Build and develop the talent capability within the division in line with Alta’s Guiding Principles by coaching team members, setting objectives, and holding people accountable.
- Represent Alta in industry groups and in the public.
- Identify, drive and support customer relationships, discovering needs, quantifying how Alta can add value, generate sales and provide solutions as an individual contributor.
- Develop knowledge of market needs and Alta’s relative strengths and weaknesses in meeting them.
- Understand market and competitive landscapes to appropriately position Alta for success.
- Must be a strategic thinker in order to anticipate the future needs of the business.
- Strong financial and analytical abilities. Ability to quickly identify patterns and trends in data.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Solid planning and implementation skills.
- Strong organizational capability building / talent acquisition ability.
- Strong negotiating and decision-making skills.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface and influence at all organizational levels along with externally to the customer and OEM’s.
- Must possess excellent relationship building and networking skills
- Must possess managerial courage.
- Must be a leader and strong motivator.
- Must have strong knowledge of finance and financial tools.
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Business or a related field
- 10 plus years business leadership experience, preferably in a related industry.
- Proficiency in strategy deployment, change management, operational excellence.
- Cross-functional and / or general management experience is a plus.
- Experience leading multiple facilities in different regions is a must.
- Proven P&L experience.
- Proven history of operating a growing and profitable business.
- Proven experience in a turnaround situation.
