ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Fund Raising
Design and implement a mission-driven, donor-centered annual giving program that reflects
MUHS’s commitment to “magis” (doing more for God and others).
Lead all aspects of the annual fund, including segmented appeals (alumni, parents, young alumni,
faculty/staff), Giving Day(s), digital campaigns, and other potential vehicles.
Working with leadership, provide and utilize data analysis and donor behavior to drive
segmentation, targeting, and performance evaluation.
Coordinate annual giving with reunion class gift campaigns and other specialty constituents, such
as trustees and alumni board members, in a sophisticated and effective manner.
Cultivate, solicit, and steward a manageable portfolio of annual donors.
Support the pipeline development of annual donors toward major and planned gifts (i.e.: $5k+).
Ensure personalized stewardship practices that reflect the Jesuit value of “cura personalis” (care
for the whole person).
Ensure accurate gift processing, donor records, and reports in collaboration with the Database
Coordinator.
Oversee strategic alumni engagement through communications, events, class reunions,
networking, and volunteer programs.
Marketing & Communications
Collaborate with the school's Marketing & Communications team to develop compelling,
mission-aligned messaging and stories for fundraising appeals and donor outreach.
Manage the development, production, and delivery of all communications across digital, print,
and social platforms to inspire donor and constituent engagement. Examples include, but are
not limited to, the MUHS Magazine, brochures, invitations and special letters.
Collaborate with various vendors and other staff to develop (concept to distribution) creative
promotional and solicitation videos.
Management
Provide day-to-day management and mentorship to the Alumni and Engagement Manager,
Database Coordinator, and Development Assistant.
Foster a collaborative team environment rooted in shared purpose and mutual support.
Promote professional development aligned with MUHS values and strategic goals.
Oversee the President’s Ambassador Program.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree required. Values consistent with the mission of a Jesuit, Catholic education. Excellent
interpersonal, writing and presentation skills. Computer skills: Microsoft Office software; Blackbaud’s
Raisers Edge experience a plus. Self-starter, ability to work with and without direct supervision.
Flexibility with work schedule; availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
Ability to work with sensitive information while maintaining complete confidentiality. Ability to develop
and supervise volunteers.
Must be willing to travel as necessary.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Development.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a 12-month position that will require occasional evening and weekend work and travel to
different locations.
