Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed First Article Inspections (FAI) according to AS9102 or company standards.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, including GD&T.
• Utilize a wide range of precision measuring instruments and equipment (e.g., CMM, calipers, micrometers).
• Document all inspection results accurately and comprehensively in FAI reports.
• Identify, record, and report non-conformances and discrepancies to relevant departments.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve identified quality issues.
• Verify material certifications and special process requirements against specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Demonstrated expertise in using a wide range of precision measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, optical comparators).
• Proven experience performing First Article Inspections (FAI) in a manufacturing environment, with familiarity in AS9102 or equivalent FAI reporting standards.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles, inspection methodologies, and non-conformance reporting processes.
• Ability to meticulously document inspection results and maintain accurate records.

Bonus Qualifications

• CMM programming experience
• Advanced GD&T application knowledge
• Experience with specialized metrology software (e.g., PolyWorks, Calypso)
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification
