Physician - Gastroenterology

**Job Description:**

We are looking for candidates who are Board Eligible (you need to become Board Certified within a year). It’s best if you are Board Certified in Gastroenterology and have 5-8 years of experience working in this field (not counting your residency or fellowship).

This position includes work in the hospital, clinics, and patient rounds. 

We need this position filled because of growth and to replace someone who is leaving.

In the clinic, an average of patients seen per day is one day a week, with support from Advanced Practice Providers (APP) both in the clinic and in the hospital.

The hospital is a Trauma Level II facility. We have an endoscopy center and an outpatient clinic on the hospital campus, which makes it easy for you to see your patients.

You need to show that you have good knowledge in your area through successful completion of moderate tasks. You also need to understand complex ideas and procedures related to your specialty. 

Knowing how our organization works is important.

Certifications like ITIL or other industry-related certificates are preferred, and having a PMP certificate is also preferred.

**Qualifications:**

- You need to be Board Eligible (must become Board Certified within a year) or Board Certified in Gastroenterology - THIS IS REQUIRED.

- You need to have a Michigan license (or be willing to get one) 

- THIS IS REQUIRED. - You must have completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology 

- THIS IS REQUIRED. - BLS certification (or be willing to get it) 

- THIS IS REQUIRED. - You must have a clean history for malpractice and licenses 

- THIS IS REQUIRED.

It’s preferred to have 5-8 years of experience in GI work (please include this in your “Experience” field). You need to have ERCP certification (we can also consider someone who needs extra training) - please note your level of training in the "Additional Certification Details” field 

- THIS IS REQUIRED. Having ITIL or other industry certifications is a plus. PMP certification is also preferred.

You must obtain a DEA license before starting work.

You must obtain a CSR/CDS license before starting work.
