Pay: Starting at $15/hour

Hours: 25 hours/week

Schedule: Weekday afternoons (Mon–Thurs during school year; 3 days/week in summer)

About the Role

Bridge Street Ministries is hiring a Part-Time After-School Program Assistant to support a Christ-centered youth development program serving middle school students in Greater Grand Rapids.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare program spaces and materials each day
• Support student pickup, attendance, supervision, and dismissal
• Assist instructors during enrichment labs (Art, STEM, Sports, SEL, etc.)
• Maintain basic administrative records and documentation
• Coordinate supplies, snacks, facilities, and transportation logistics
• Build positive relationships with students, families, volunteers, and staff
• Participate in team meetings and professional development

Qualifications

• Alignment with Bridge Street Ministries’ Christian mission and values
• Passion for youth development and community-based ministry
• Organized, dependable, and relational
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
• High school diploma or equivalent; must be 21+ years old
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check
