The primary purpose of the Packer Shipper is to prepare all types of equipment ranging from heavy machinery to small and very intricate, delicate types of instruments for painting, test, and complete the final preparation for shipment.

PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Packer/Shipper must be proficient in each of the following three (3) function areas in the shipping Department.Preparation for Finish Paint:
• Receive products directly from manufacturing department and following written or verbal instructions perform all finish preparation and wash up of the product.
• Duties include:
  Using hand and power tools to be able to construct wooden skid to transport the equipment. Install various types of panels and accessories, and sound deadening of all applicable parts for
  finishing application.

  Identify areas that will require putty, sand surface area and insure the surface is prepared for the final finishing operation.

  Preparation of Product for Test:

• Receive products directly from the paint booth and prepare the product for startup in the test area and insuring the products are complete and free of all inspection defects or deficiencies before release to the test department.
• Verify the job to the purchase order to insure that all options and parts are available.
• Remove all masking materials from the prep operations, reassemble parts from painting operations, insure products are clean and free of all cosmetic defects.
• Fix all necessary functional, safety, and identification labels to the product properly.Outgoing Final Shipping:
• Receive product from the test department and prepare product for shipment.
• Duties include:
  Verify the product adheres to final standard of cosmetic detail and completeness. Inventory and prepare packing list data for all materials require for shipment.

  Package the product in accordance with proper procedures required to meet specific domestic, international shipping specification.

  Verify the job to the purchase order to insure that all options and parts are available.
