Responsibilities

• Support structured hockey programs and drills tailored to various age groups and skill levels, ensuring clear instruction and active participation
• Promote safety protocols on the ice, including proper equipment use and behavior management to prevent injuries
• Foster a positive team environment by encouraging sportsmanship, cooperation, and respect among participants
• Provide coaching support during games, scrimmages, and special events to enhance player development and enjoyment
• Collaborate with other sports instructors to integrate cross-training activities such as skating, martial arts, or physical education exercises
• Monitor participants’ progress, provide constructive feedback, and motivate individuals to reach their athletic potential
• Maintain equipment safety checks, cleanliness of the ice surface, and adherence to facility policies

Experience

• Previous experience in sports coaching or instructing youth or adult groups is highly desirable
• Ice skating or hockey experience required.
• Proven ability in behavior management ensures a positive experience for all participants while maintaining order on the ice
