What We Are Looking For

Yazaki is looking for a motivated Summer Intern to join our Human Resources team in Canton, MI. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, results-oriented environment and is eager to make meaningful contributions to the organization. This internship runs full-time from May 11, 2026 , to August 14, 2026 .

What You Will Be Doing

  • Project Work : The HR intern will gain exposure to various HR functions, including Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Global Mobility, and HRIS. While the intern may contribute to short-term projects across these areas, their primary focus will be on supporting Learning and Development. They will play an active role in shaping, proposing, and implementing training sessions, with a particular focus on creating digital learning content for a corporate audience using tools such as Articulate 360 and related eLearning design platforms. The intern will also gain hands-on experience with Learning Management System (LMS) administration, including uploading, testing, and tracking training modules.
  • Success Metrics: Successful implementation and deployment of engaging learning content.
  • Collaboration: The HR intern will have the opportunity to collaborate with HR team members across the US and Mexico. Additionally, they will engage in networking with fellow interns, cross-functional team members, organizational leaders, and potentially external service providers.

What You Will Bring To The Table

  • Education: Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution during the internship period.
  • Relevant Background: Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related degree
  • Academic Standing: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Commitment : Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks between May 11, 2026, and August 14, 2026.
  • Technical Skills : Completed coursework in the HR field; Proficiency using MS PowerPoint to create engaging presentations as well as using MS Excel to create and manipulate data using sort/filter, v-look up and pivot table creation functions; an interest in or exposure to digital learning tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Learning Management Systems, and/or video editing software).
  • Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities. Professionalism and confidentiality critical
