Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine calibration and verification of measurement tools and equipment.
• Conduct precise dimensional inspections using CMMs, optical comparators, and various hand tools.
• Create, validate, and execute measurement programs for automated inspection systems.
• Maintain detailed calibration records, equipment logs, and measurement data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve measurement discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
• Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on measurement techniques.
• Assist in the development and improvement of metrology processes and procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Demonstrated experience using a variety of precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges).
• Hands-on experience operating and/or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or other advanced metrology equipment (e.g., optical comparators).
• Strong understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and maintaining measurement accuracy.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced CMM programming languages or offline programming software.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for process capability studies and SPC.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and calibration lab accreditation processes.
• Strong aptitude for interpreting and applying advanced Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
