Job Title: Production Supervisor

Job Description

This position is responsible for managing the shift and all indirect and direct staff in chain of command. The role ensures the smooth running of the production process, with products being produced to specified specifications. Meeting targets and deadlines is crucial to achieving orders. Furthermore, all staff must comply with health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the shift and oversee both direct and indirect staff.
  • Ensure the production process runs smoothly and meets specified product specifications.
  • Meet targets and deadlines to achieve orders.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
  • Oversee a team of 30 people on the weld side of the plant.
  • Conduct inventory control and quality checks.
  • Handle hiring, firing, coaching, and production numbers.
  • Maintain inventory, including shipping and receiving.

Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of supervisory experience in an automotive facility.
  • Experience overseeing 30+ people on one shift.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in inventory control (shipping/receiving).
  • Experience in production supervision and management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a facility with robotic weld cells.
  • Quality control knowledge (mics, calipers, and gages).

Work Environment

The role is based in a typical stamping facility with six buildings at Concord. The environment includes presses ranging from 100-600 ton Progressive, Mig Welding Machines, and Orbit Forming machines. It's a loud and industrial setting. The work schedule is 1st Shift from 6am to 2pm, with 40-50 hours per week and some Saturdays depending on production needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Clemens, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
