Position Summary
Our Freight Sales Representative will manage the end-to-end life cycle of developing relationships with new customers and curating freight services to meet the needs of the business. This role will be multi-faceted, working closely with carrier partners to meet customer demands.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage current customers while developing relationships to grow customer base.
- Identify, qualify, and acquire new customers via phone, referrals, trade shows, and networking.
- Create consistent relationships with existing customers that lead to increases in volume and lanes.
- Collaborate with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to meet customer's needs.
- Create and submit bids in order to win contracted freight with customer base.
- Conduct strategic customer analysis meetings in order to better understand and meet business needs.
- Conduct strategic carrier analysis meetings in order to better understand business and deepen level of partnership.
- Build consistency with carrier partners to increase capacity around shipper's needs.
- Provide exceptional customer support and resolution communication.
- Engage in strategic negotiation to ensure profitable outcomes and sustainable partnerships.
- Consistently provide support and communication throughout the shipping lifecycle.
- Act as main point of contact for shipment tracking, load planning, and issue resolution.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Persistent drive to prospect new business
- Excel within a collaborative sales environment
- Ability to overcome objections and have strong closing skills.
- Strong customer service skills
- Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly convey the benefits of our service.
- Experience would be great but not a requirement.

Occasionally the employee will be expected to move boxes, and manipulate objects in various directions. This position may require extended work hours and travel.
