Large utility is looking for a Production Supervisor in Olive Township, MI. The Supervisor Production is a leadership role responsible for the safe and reliable operation of a generation facility, requiring a Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience, along with broad knowledge in leadership, communication, and power plant operations to effectively supervise teams and manage daily activities. This is a contract position estimated to last 12 months, possible extension, possible temp to perm.

responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a production or operations team, including bargaining unit employees and contractors.

Provide active coaching and development.

Ensure the safe and reliable operation of the generation facility by adhering to safety culture, policies, and procedures.

Set priorities for the team, coordinate work with other supervisors, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and lead/participate in problem-solving events and operating reviews.

Understand company metrics and goals, apply lean methods to identify and eliminate waste, and contribute to cost savings and automation.

Complete administrative tasks such as time sheet approval, maintain reports on job progress, and administer the Union Contract and company policies.

Serve as a liaison with support groups to manage work priorities and address equipment deficiencies.

Respond to employee concerns, provide guidance on complex or hazardous work, and collaborate with employees and support groups.

Lead or participate in special projects and serve as an on-call resource in rotation.

2- 4years Positions that demonstrate technical knowledge in power plant operation or similar industrial operation knowledge. (Required)
