Laminating Operator

Lamination work duties include but not limited to: \
Loader: \
Check glass to be ran and ensure we all of the mates \
Set up racks/carts in running order \
Check machinery to ensure it is functioning properly \
Measure glass to make sure the piece matches the tag before sending glass into the clean room \
Send glass in the clean room in the proper order as designated on tag/order \
When line is backed up clean work area \
Ensure all recuts are turned in if broken/defective before laminating \
Clean room inspect/crane operator: \
Check machinery to ensure it is functioning properly \
Inspect the glass as it comes into the clean room and ensure there are no defects \
Select the interlayer needed \
Stack laminated according to tag/order \
Check each stack to make sure there is no inside contamination \
At the end of the shift work with oven operator to clean up work area \
Clean room trimmer/oven operator \
Check machinery to ensure it is functioning properly \
Look the glass over as it comes to the trimming station to ensure there is no inside contamination \
Trim PVB all the way around leaving 1/8 over hang to compensate for shrinkage in the oven \
Trim SGP flush to the unit \
Look over the unit one more time before sending it down the oven. \
Set the oven to the proper recipe before sending the glass to the tack oven \
Ensure we are optimizing oven through put \
Clean up trimmings as needed \
At the end of the shift work with clean room crew to clean work area \
Unloader: \
Prep any necessary materials \
Get trolley positioned \
Start/Stop claves when necessary \
Stack glass properly onto the trolley as it comes out of the tack oven \
Ensure all glass is secured to the trolley before loading into the autoclave \
And other duties as assigned. \
