Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies to optimize material acquisition.
• Source, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers, ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve cost efficiencies and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering strong vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and inventory teams to ensure timely and cost-effective material availability.
• Ensure all procured materials comply with industry standards, quality specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and mentor the purchasing team, fostering professional development and operational excellence.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in supplier negotiation, contract management, and ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory control, and supply chain best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a purchasing team and manage complex vendor relationships.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Experience with international sourcing and global supply chain management
• PMP or other relevant project management certification
• Advanced proficiency with ERP system implementation or optimization projects
