ADAS Systems Engineer

Hourly pay range $56 - $58/hr.
Job Overview & Responsibilities

• Own system requirements. Capture, decompose, and maintain traceable, testable requirements from concept through release; manage baselines and change control.

• Lead DRBFM. Plan, facilitate, and document DRBFM sessions; translate risks into design actions and verification plans; ensure timely closure.

• Design with developers. Work with ADS software engineers to shape control/decision logic (C/C++), align interfaces, and incorporate safety concepts into design.

• Integrate and verify. Coordinate SIL/HIL/vehicle-level testing; ensure system requirements integrate cleanly to software components and different ECUs specs.

• Track to closure. Build and maintain a clear action tracker; drive owners, dates, and evidence to closure across internal teams and suppliers.

• Liaise across partners. Serve as the day-to-day interface with external stakeholders/suppliers; keep communication crisp and decisions documented.

• Improve the process. Identify gaps; propose lightweight, repeatable improvements that raise reliability, safety, and engineering velocity.

• Contribute to code & reviews. Participate in code reviews, create PRs where appropriate, and support CI checks tied to requirements and tests.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or other related field

• Automotive Background within ADAS/ADS features

• Experience managing requirements and interfaces for complex embedded/vehicle systems and respective tooling such as Jama, Jira/Azure DevOps

• Hands-on DRBFM leadership and follow-up through verified closure

• Software literacy in C/C++

• Knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet related tooling

• Strong documentation skills

• Cross-functional teamwork experience

Preferred Qualifications

• ISO 26262, SOTIF (ISO 21448), and/or ASPICE practices

• Experience with requirements/tooling: Jama, or Polarion

• MIL/SIL/HIL test experience

• Scripting/analysis in Python and/or MATLAB/Simulink

• CI/CD and code review workflows (Git, GitLab/Jenkins)
