Welding Technical Specialist Position (Tube Welding )

My client is looking to add a Welding Technical Support Specialist to their team. This is for a small growing company that is in an established and growing niche industry. This company is located near the Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, MI area.

This position will require comprehensive tube welding knowledge and experience. The ideal Candidate should have experience with front facing customer involvement with toandto support both . The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting and resolution skills, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of tube welding mills and welding impeder functions . The role requires a and , supporting and ensuring optimal performance of empeder core hardware components.

Responsibilities:

· Providing hands on, onsite technical support for impeder core hardware test, development and application.

· Assist with installation, testing and process improvements for new impeder core material on customer tube welding lines.

· Troubleshoot and resolve tube welding problems related to the t ube welding impeder and impeder core.

· machinery using tooling, , and to perform tube welding programming adjustments as needed to optimize welding processes.

· Support onsite testing and product application development for tube welding impeders during testing and production launch.

· Operate tube welding machines and other equipment with precision and adherence to specifications.

· Conduct root cause analysis of tube welding system performance issues and recommend improvements or upgrades associated with the welding impeder core.

Qualifications:

· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.

· Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools to ensure parts meet quality standards.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and proper handling of tools and materials.

· Mechanical knowledge of tube welding processes, tooling, fabrication. techniques, equipment maintenance, tube weld quality knowledge, and metallurgy characteristics.
