Corporate Accountant Growingand diversefinancial services company is looking to add an Assistant Controller in ourcorporate headquarters located in Southfield,Michigan. The potential candidatefor this new and exciting rolewillwork closely with our CFO and our Controller onthe day-to-day operations and management of the accounting department. Essential Job Functions- Prepare journal entries
- Oversight of accounts receivable/accounts payable
- Facilitate the inter-company transfer process
- Timely management of themonthlyaccounting close and preparation of all account reconciliations
- Preparation of monthlyGAAP compliantfinancial statements for subsidiaries and weekly reporting
- Assist with special projects as needed
- All other tasks assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA designation or pursuing CPA preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Great organizational skills and detail oriented
- Ability towell under pressure to meet deadlines
- Perform accurately and learn quickly with ability to work withothers and an independent role
- Excellent math, analytical/reconciliation skills
- Strongcommunication skills and ability to follow upas needed to obtain information
- Management experience is not required but helpful
