The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments for manufacturing operations.
• Handle accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, payment tracking, and collections.
• Process payroll accurately and timely for manufacturing employees.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate classification of financial transactions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions and associated costs.
• Prepare basic financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in core bookkeeping functions (AR, AP, GL, bank reconciliations).
• Demonstrated experience with cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and COGS in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience preparing financial statements and conducting variance analysis specific to manufacturing operations.
• Ability to manage payroll and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations for a manufacturing workforce.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Basic understanding of inventory valuation and Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting
• Familiarity with multi-step purchase order (PO) systems common in manufacturing
• Proficiency in advanced Excel for data analysis and operational reporting
