Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Machine Builder to assemble custom industrial equipment and automation systems at our Hopkins, MI facility. This position is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy building complex machines from prints and working closely with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities- Assemble custom machinery and automated equipment from blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Install and align mechanical components including bearings, gearboxes, rails, shafts, and drive systems
- Install pneumatic systems including cylinders, valves, regulators, and air lines
- Perform layout, drilling, tapping, and light fabrication as needed
- Work with engineering and electrical teams during machine build and integration
- Assist with machine testing, debugging, and adjustments
- Maintain accurate build documentation
- Support machine tear-down, crating, and installation if required
- Follow all safety policies and maintain clean work areas
- Experience building custom machines or industrial equipment preferred
- Strong blueprint reading and mechanical assembly skills
- Knowledge of pneumatics and mechanical drive systems
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
- Mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Standing and working on feet for extended periods
- Ability to bend, kneel, and work around equipment
