Inventory Control Manager | Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production schedules and minimize carrying costs.
• Oversee and execute regular cycle counting and physical inventory processes to ensure accuracy.
• Implement and manage inventory control procedures to prevent discrepancies and waste.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock rotation.
• Lead efforts to identify, quarantine, and dispose of obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehousing teams to streamline material flow.
• Develop and report on key inventory performance metrics, such as accuracy, turns, and days of supply.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory control or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of inventory management principles, forecasting techniques, and demand planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision making.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Proficiency with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for advanced analytics
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
• Experience with advanced inventory optimization or forecasting software
