Community Automotive Repair started in 1975. Our shop is locally owned and operated. We are adding to our team of highly trained professionals. As a Service Advisor you can expect to join a very talented team in automotive repair in the Greater Grand Rapids area. We offer a stable, secure, and safe working environment. We're a very busy shop and need your help to propel us to the next level.
The PositionService Advisor Level 2 is a customer-facing role that keeps repair work organized, clearly communicated, and moving on time.
Key responsibilities:- Welcome customers, listen to concerns, and document service needs accurately
- Explain recommended services and estimates, and answer questions clearly
- Coordinate with technicians so expectations, timelines, and approvals stay aligned
- Schedule work, manage service flow, and follow up to confirm customer satisfaction Required qualifications/skills:
- 2–5 years of professional automotive service advising experience
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems
- Strong communication, interpersonal, sales, and math skills (pricing/markups)
- Valid driver’s license

You’ll work onsite at 846 Fulton St E in Grand Rapids, with a steady Monday–Friday schedule (7:00 AM–5:30 PM). The day starts with checking the workflow, confirming appointments, and setting expectations with customers as they arrive. You’ll spend the day moving between the front counter, phone, and shop updates—keeping customers in the loop, tracking progress, and making sure approvals and timing don’t stall. As vehicles wrap up, you’ll close out paperwork, review what was done, and make sure customers leave with clear understanding of what we completed. It’s fast-paced, customer-oriented work where staying calm and organized matters.
