Our mission is to provide for the health and wellness needs of the underserved of Oakland County through the provision of comprehensive, integrated primary, behavioral health, and dental care. Position Description
The Medical Records Specialist at Honor Community Health (HCH) is an essential part of our high-performance team. The Medical Records Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Chief Experience and Operations Officer. The Medical Records Specialist acts as the central figure for handling and distributing medical records within our organization. Specializes in effectively managing the NextGen Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to ensure an accurate and timely coordination, while strictly adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Works closely with colleagues to foster a culture of excellence and a shared commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare to all.

What are we looking for?

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3 years of clerical office work or similar.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Strong computer skills utilizing
    • Electronic health record (Nextgen preferred)
    • Microsoft Office
