Design Build Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise landscape installation crews to complete design build projects from inception to completion.
• Interpret detailed landscape plans and ensure accurate implementation of construction elements, including hardscape, grading, planting, drainage, and lighting.
• Coordinate tools, materials, labor, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and meet the highest quality standards.
• Provide on-site training and mentorship to crew members to ensure consistent techniques, safety, and productivity.
• Maintain open and professional communication with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Monitor job progress and proactively resolve issues to avoid delays and cost overruns.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company standards for craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Perform hands-on work alongside the team as needed, especially during key phases of installation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in landscape construction, including team leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of hardscape installation, grading, drainage, irrigation, and plant layout.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, site plans, and technical specifications.
• Valid Chauffeur’s License or ability to obtain one prior to start date.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time and resources effectively.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
• Relevant certifications in landscape construction or horticulture (preferred).
• Experience with low-voltage lighting and water features (preferred).
• Plant knowledge and ability to make on-the-fly field adjustments for design optimization (preferred).

Compensation

Starting pay at $25 per hour, based on experience
