Responsibilities

Oversee the service department's daily operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.

Coordinate and manage the schedules of service technicians to optimize workflow.

Communicate effectively with customers, addressing their service needs and inquiries.

Perform regular quality checks on completed work to ensure high service standards are met.

Handle customer complaints professionally, striving for quick resolutions and satisfaction.

Develop strategies to enhance customer service quality, encouraging repeat business.

Maintain and monitor inventory levels, ensuring parts and tools are adequately stocked for operations.

Collaborate with other department heads, including sales and parts, to foster a cohesive team environment.

Stay current with industry trends and training to ensure the team delivers state-of-the-art service techniques.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a managerial role within the automotive service industry.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in automotive service or management is a plus.

Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff and customers.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high levels of service and productivity.

Customer Service: Strong dedication to providing exceptional customer service and handling customer feedback positively.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Availability: Must be willing to work on-site in Flint, Michigan, with flexibility in work hours.
