Material Handler

Location: Holland, MI
Shift: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM | Sunday–Thursday
Pay: $19.00/hour

Job Summary

We're looking for a dependable and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for pulling material for customer orders and ensuring all finished goods are properly tagged, packaged, and staged according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate has previous material handling experience, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to quality and safety.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Material Handler, your core responsibilities will include:

• Pulling Customer Orders: Locate the required material type and size to accurately fulfill customer orders.
• Packaging Materials: Package finished goods according to customer specifications and company standards.
• Performing Quality Checks: Verify materials have been pulled correctly and inspect products before shipment.
• Preparing Shipments: Inspect, band, and stage materials in route-specific order for shipping.
• Verifying Product Information: Ensure heat numbers and tag numbers are accurate prior to shipment.
• Maintaining a Safe Work Environment: Keep work areas clean, organized, and follow all company safety procedures.

In addition, you will assist with other warehouse and shipping duties as assigned to support daily operations.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

• High school diploma, training, or equivalent experience.
• Product knowledge preferred.
• Certified or experienced operating a crane, forklift, and side-loader.
• Ability to use a tape measure, calipers, and micrometers.
• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Skills

• Material Handling: Ability to accurately pull, package, and stage materials for shipment.
• Equipment Operation: Experience operating cranes, forklifts, and side-loaders safely.
• Measurement Skills: Proficient in using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• Quality Control: Ability to inspect materials and verify product information for accuracy.
• Organization: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Ability to work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
